West Ham united have officially announced a season long-loan deal for England No.1 goalkeeper Joe Hart.
In my opinion, getting the country’s leading keeper to play in claret and blue this season is a major coup for the club. Joe Hart had been ever present for City before Pep Guardiola arrived and has won FA Cups, League Cups and Premier League titles.
West Ham have lacked a true leader from the back for many years and Hart will install vast and much needed experience to support our defensive line.
With all due respect, Adrian and Darren Randolph are good shot stoppers, but their decision making and timing (along with defensive errors) have led to the club losing over 20 points from winning positions.
There is no denying that Hart does makes mistakes, all keepers do, but Joe will make less mistakes and his very vocal communication skills will help the defence become more organised.
In the words of Arthur Guinness, “Good things come to those who wait,” and boy us fans have waited long enough!
More high profile signings are expected in the coming weeks and when you compare the team of last term to this forthcoming season, it will be a major improvement.
Joe Hart is a West Ham player, something I thought was impossible a few years ago. I’m very excited by this transfer and with the recruitment of Pablo Zabaleta, we are already starting to build a formidable team for the forthcoming season – something Tony Henry has said he would do last month.
So far he is keeping his word.
Kelechi Iheanacho who?
