West Ham United midfielder Jack Wilshere has endured injury problems throughout his entire career – and now has admitted his move to east London ‘hasn’t worked out‘.

Speaking to Stadium Astro, the 28-year-old revealed that his decision to move to London Stadium was an opportunity for a fresh start and ultimately do what he loves – play football.

However, Wilshere has suffered the same injury fate at West Ham as he has throughout his career, making just 14 Premier League appearances for the club since he joined back in 2018.

In his first season in east London, Wilshere suffered an ankle injury in September, which he then further aggravated in December, keeping him on the sidelines for the majority of the 2018/19 campaign.

His luck with injuries has been similar this season, and Wilshere opened up about the move.

He told Stadium Astro: “It hasn’t worked out for me, I’ll be honest.

“It hasn’t gone the way I wanted it to, I’ve missed too much football, I haven’t played enough games.

“I want to get back on track, get my career back on track, get playing games week-in, week-out and start to feel like a footballer again.”

And the midfielder’s comments sparked plentiful reaction on social media
