Is this West Ham’s starting XI to beat Everton on Saturday?

Despite a fantastic start to the season, last week West Ham were brought back down to reality after a 2-0 defeat against Watford at Vicarage Road.

With the magnificent Hammers faithful pleased with the new style of play ‘Super Slav’ has installed in East London, last Saturdays’ first away loss of the season against the Hornets showed that there is still some work to be done.

Furthermore, main striker Diafra Sakho is out injured for Saturday’s game against Everton, which could influence football betting odds this weekend, while James Collins’ sending off last weekend means he starts his three match ban.

Midfield duo Maneul Lanzini and Victor Moses were substituted at half time against Watford after failing to please Slaven Bilic with their performance.

As a result, Bilic will certainly make some changes in order to stop West Ham’s terrible form against the Toffees.

So, who will replace Collins, will Andy Carroll remain up front after his horrendous mistake last week and will Lanzini or Moses keep their place?

Here’s our predicted starting XI…

13. Adrian

The Spanish shot stopper will be looking to improve on his three clean sheets so far this season. There was nothing the former Real Betis goalkeeper could do to keep out Odion Ighalo’s brace last week, but he still remains a reliable player.

12. Carl Jenkinson

The on-loan Arsenal right-back is starting to show the form he showed at Upton Park last season after a slow start on the back of the England U21 Championships in the summer.

He will gradually improve as the season goes on.

5. James Tomkins

Although he failed to cope with Watford’s deadly partnership of Ighalo and Troy Deeney, the former England U21 centre half has arguably been West Ham’s best centre half this season.

2. Winston Reid

The New Zealand international makes a welcome return to the squad having not played sine the 2-2 draw away at Sunderland a few weeks ago.

It looks as though Angelo Ogbonna will start on the bench again.

3. Aaron Cresswell

The former Ipswich Town full-back has put the derisory performance against AFC Bournemouth earlier in the campaign firmly behind him and the fans are starting to see the Cresswell from last season that saw him win the Hammer of the Year.

8. Cheikhou Kouyate

The Senegalese midfielder has performed excellently so far and long may it continue. The midfield powerhouse versatility and quality in the defensive and offensive positions is a fundamental reason why West Ham sit sixth in the Premier League table.

16. Mark Noble

Captain marvel has orchestrated and lead the team by example and has given nothing short of 100% in every game in the claret and blue so far.

However, despite being made captain, could his place in the starting XI be jeopardised when Alex Song returns to the fold?

27. Dimitri Payet

“We’ve got Payet, Dimitri Payet, I just don’t think you understand. He’s super Slaven’s man, he’s better than Zidane, we’ve got Dimitri Payet.”

We love him and he reminds many in the footballing world of Carlos Tevez. It’s impossible to drop him.

28. Manuel Lanzini

Despite last week’s lacklustre display, Lanzini, along with Payet, have been Bilic’s bright sparks for the season and a permanent deal for the Argentine maestro is definitely on the cards.

[interaction id=“none”]

20. Victor Moses

The on-loan Chelsea man wasn’t the same player at Watford last week after producing a bright start to his temporary West Ham career.

With strength in depth, Moses is set to fend off competition from the likes of Mauro Zarate, Enner Valencia and Michail Antonio for a starting place.

[interaction id=“none”]

9. Andy Carroll

The former Newcastle United’s mistake that lead to Ighalo’s first goal gets wrose every time it is replayed on the television.

However, handing the Geordie some confidence on his return to match fitness will definitely give the Hammers record signing the impetus to comeback stronger and cause havoc to Everton and England defender John Stones.
