So this is it – the final eight games of the season and an eight game stretch that will decide our fate as we head in to a new era in Stratford.
Can we do the unthinkable and finish in the top four, or will we be settling for a spot in next season’s Europa League? Either way, it has been one hell of an amazing season.
However, there’s so much work to be done first, with the visit of Crystal Palace on Saturday our first hurdles.
Palace are without a league win in 2016 and we haven’t lost at home since August, which means we’re all kind of expecting Pardew to do a job on us.
But maybe that was the West Ham of old. Maybe the new West Ham won’t be ‘that’ team others always beat when they’re so desperate for three points. Maybe.
Sam Byram and James Collins are still out, while Cheikhou Kouyate, Enner Valencia and Victor Moses will face late fitness tests after an extended international break.
But whoever plays, we have enough class and talent there to be able to brush aside Palace.
So here’s how we think we might line up against Palace on Saturday…
