Roy Carroll pips Raimond Van der Gouw to the starting goalkeeper spot in this side.

The Northern Ireland international spent four years at Manchester United and endured a spell riddled with errors where he was most infamously remembered for dropping Pedro Mendes’ long-range effort over the line, although the goal was not given.

After his contract expired he joined West Ham on a free transfer in 2005. Carroll managed 35 appearances over two years at the club.

Now aged 38, he is still playing with League Two side Notts County.
