The performance against Spurs last weekend was encouraging. Given the questions surrounding Allardyce’s starting line-up, it turned out to be a decent outing.
And I don’t think Allardyce will stray too far from that line-up this afternoon against Palace at Selhurst Park. I think Cheikhou Kouyate will deputise for the suspended James Collins alongside Winston Reid, with Mo Diame moving into the defensive midfield role.
And Enner Valencia may be handed his first start in place of the largely ineffective Carlton Cole (sorry, Carlton. Love you really).
