We never have much luck at Villa Park, and Villa’s recent revival under Tim Sherwood has everything pointing to yet another disappointing afternoon for us in the Midlands.

We did earn a precious three points there last season, but with Christian Benteke currently banging them in for fun and us not exactly setting the world alight, it’s going to be a lot harder to come away with something today.

We’ve got no fresh injury concerns, which is probably a first for us this season, so Reece Burke is expected to keep his spot alongside James Collins at the back. Burke has been very impressive over the last two games and he’ll want to continue improving and justify his Young Player of the Year award with a third consecutive clean sheet today.

Morgan Amalfitano proved last week that he should be starting every single game. The Frenchman was one of our better players in the win over Burnley and should start again today, while Nene looked sharp and impressive when he came off the bench, which should – but probably won’t – force Allardyce in to giving him a well overdue start.

So here’s how we think Allardyce may line us up against Villa today…
