West Ham fans will be familiar with the name of William Carvalho following a lengthy transfer saga last summer and the reports just will not go away.

The Hammers have been linked with the services of the Portugal international once again this summer, ahead of Sporting Lisbon’s mass exodus, but they could miss out in the market.

Italian outlet Calcio Mercato state Inter Milan are ready to make a €10m bid to bring the midfielder to the San Siro, as they look to take advantage of Sporting’s turbulent situation.

The Portuguese side risk losing a number of key players for nothing this summer after a shocking sequence of events saw fans invade the training ground and attack members of the squad.

Sporting, understandably, don’t want to lose a player of Carvalho’s calibre for nothing and the offer from Inter, although it is an incredibly reduced fee, could be enough to land the World Cup ace in the market.
