West Ham have been extremely active in the transfer market this summer and that looks set to continue in the final weeks of the window.

The Hammers have invested heavily under the guidance of new boss Manuel Pellegrini, bringing seven new faces to the London Stadium, and departures are likely if further recruits are to be secured.

One of those widely expected to leave east London is 24-year-old full-back Sam Byram, who has made 27 Premier League appearances in his two years since signing from Leeds United.

Byram has struggled to secure a regular first-team position with the Hammers and is now tipped for a return to the second-tier, with Nottingham Forest believed to be leading the chase.

According to ExWHUEmployee, a deal confirming the departure of Byram could be confirmed ‘very soon’ but Forest are not the only club eyeing his services.

A host of teams within the Championship are seeking a deal and there could still be further twists in the tale.
