West Ham insider ExWHUemployee believes the Hammers might choose to consider making a move to sign Marseille’s Bamba Dieng before the end of the transfer window.

Reports last week from 90min have claimed the Hammers are keen on the forward, who is also being tracked by the likes of Newcastle and Leeds.

It’s claimed by Ex that the French outfit have told the Senegal international that he can leave the club this summer, which might convince David Moyes to make his move before the September 1 transfer window deadline.

Writing on his Patreon page, the insider said: “Another player worth keeping an eye on is Bamba Dieng of Marseille.

“The forward can play across the front line and we have had an interest in him before. It is rumoured that his club have said he can leave.

“Whilst I don’t believe we have made any moves for him now, he is someone that Moyes might reconsider.”

The 22-year-old can play anywhere across the front line but has been more suited through the middle during his time at Marseille.

With Gianluca Scamacca already signed to provide assistant for Michail Antonio and Maxwell Cornet now on the London Stadium books to assist the right side of attack, signing Dieng would provide Moyes with even more depth in attack as he seeks to assemble a squad capable of building on its success of the last two seasons.
