West Ham are keen on signing Nice defender Jeremy Pied this summer, as reported by Le10Sport.
Pied has been in impressive form for Nice this season and is predominantly a right-back, but can also fill in on the left.
Slaven Bilic has seen the right-back position as a problem area of his squad this season after losing Carl Jenkinson to a season-ending injury, which since forced him in to using James Tomkins and Michail Antonio as make-shift right-backs for the rest of the campaign.
But Pied, 27, could prove to be the answer to Bilic’s problems this summer and he will be available on a free after his Allianz Riviera contract expires at the end of June.
Le10Sport also claim that Saint-Etienne are also interested in Pied’s signature.
This season Pied has made 32 Ligue 1 appearances for Nice, averaging 3.6 tackles, 1.3 dribbles and 3.1 interceptions per match, as well as providing three assists and helping Les Aiglons finish in the top four.
