West Ham United’s 2025/26 campaign has been difficult so far.
Results under Graham Potter were pooe, prompting the club to turn to Nuno Espirito Santo in hopes of steadying the ship.
While Nuno’s tenure began with a solid 1-1 draw against Everton, scoring remains an issue.
Apart from a 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest, the Hammers have struggled to find the net. Callum Wilson has yet to prove a long-term solution, Jarrod Bowen cannot shoulder the scoring burden alone, and other options remain limited.
Now, West Ham appear to have identified a potential long-term solution up front.
West Ham Eyeing Mateo Pellegrino

According to Tuttosport, via Parma Live, West Ham are among several clubs interested in signing Parma striker Mateo Pellegrino.
The 6’4″ forward, who moved to Parma from Argentine side Platense in February, has made a blistering start to the season, netting five goals in just seven appearances.
Tuttosport reports that a host of clubs — including Roma, Atletico Madrid, Villarreal, Tottenham, Nottingham Forest, and West Ham — have all shown interest in “El Tanque.”
Parma are expected to demand a substantial offer for Pellegrino, with negotiations unlikely to begin until the summer.
Pellegrino is reportedly a player who caught Nuno Espirito Santo’s eye during his time at Nottingham Forest, making him a forward the Portuguese manager is keen to pursue in East London.
Described as “decisive” by Parma teammate Keita Balde, via Tuttomercatoweb, Pellegrino could provide the physical presence and finishing ability West Ham desperately need to bolster their attack and provide a reliable goal threat for the remainder of the season.
