West Ham United today confirmed on the club’s official website that Pablo Zabaleta has signed.
Pablo Zabaleta was available on a free transfer after leaving Manchester City at the end of a stellar nine years with the two-time Premier League champions.
The Hammers beat off competition from other clubs to quickly wrap up a deal for the experienced right back and solve a problem position.
Zabaleta will compete with Sam Byram for the right back spot and surely give the promising 23-year-old some tips on upping his game.
During his career, Zabaleta has won the Copa Del Rey, two Premier League titles, the FA Cup, two League Cups and an Olympic gold medal with Argentina.
The 32-year-old brings vast experience to the West Ham defence and Hammers fans will be hoping that he still has the legs to compete in the Premier League.
This is how West Ham fans reacted to the signing of the Argentina international.
I think this is an unbelievable signing! Regardless of age I feel he can bring a tonne into this squad! I just hope he isn't another arbeloa
