Jesse Lingard has reportedly made a decision on his future, with West Ham confident he is set to choose them as his next destination after being released by Manchester United last summer.

David Moyes has been trying to get his man ever since the midfielder’s rampant six-month loan spell in the second-half of the 2020/2021 campaign when he scored nine goals and registered five assists in 16 Premier League appearances for the Hammers.

And now he might be about to finally get his man if reports over the last 24 hours are to be believed.

Not only that, the man himself may have added fuel to the fire with his latest Instagram story, which has led to West Ham fans speculating that he’s sending them a message ahead of his long-awaited return to east London.

The 29-year-old posted a photo of a Manchester-based takeaway shop called ‘Chicken Run’ on his Instagram story on Monday afternoon, which you can see below…

Not only that, he accompanied the image with the comment: “If you know you know.”

Now, if you’re a proper West Ham fan you’ll know all about the Chicken Run (not the takeaway shop), what it is and why it’s particularly famous at West Ham. If not, Google it.

But could this be Lingard’s way of hinting at his next destination? Or was it just an indication of his love for this particular West Indian Takeaway joint? Perhaps one final nod to his favourite haunt before he leaves Manchester permanently?

Either way, we’re on the verge of finally putting an end to this 18-month-long transfer saga and it’s looking increasingly likely Lingard is on his way to get the band back together.
