Hammers would have been Champions

Kevin Nolan and Andy Carroll

Opta Stats have revealed that the Hammers would have ended the season as Premier League champions had only goals from English players counted throughout the campaign.

English players Kevin Nolan (10 goals), Andy Carroll (7), Mark Noble (4), Matt Jarvis (2), Carlton Cole (2), Joe Cole (2), Gary O’Neil (1), Matty Taylor (1) and James Tomkins (1) all scored important goals for Sam Allardyce’s side last season and it has been revealed that they could have been title winning goals had they been the only goals that counted over the course of the season.
