Well, not exactly.

We’re all well used to some of the most outrageous transfer rumours flying around during a window, and we occasionally see a couple happened for real (Carlos Tevez coming to West Ham wasn’t exactly a run of the mill transfer rumour that became reality).

But while Arsenal, Man City, Liverpool and Man United court Cesc Fabregas in what could become a £30million move back to the Premier League this summer, the Hammers have jumped in out of the blue and stolen the Spaniard from underneath the noses of the top-flight’s biggest clubs.

Now it’s time to wake up and realise the below picture is, in fact, a photoshopped image of Marco Boriello holding up a West Ham shirt.

I have to admit that I had to double-take when seeing this image, which says a lot about the quality of the photoshop job here…
