West Ham United had their first goalless game of the season on Monday night at Villa Park.
While there will be some who are happy with the point and others who aren’t, there will be many who can appreciate that this wasn’t the most entertaining game we’ll have this season.
Nevertheless, West Ham’s official Twitter page posted a link to the full extended highlights from the game:

Judging by the response to the tweet, there won’t be too much attention dedicated to the video, as many West Ham fans seemed uninterested in reliving the game.
There was a total of 23 shots during the match, as per WhoScored, while Mike Dean also had his say on the night’s proceedings, as he sent Arthur Masuaku off for two bookable offences, but seeing this once was enough for many.
The nature of the game is perhaps reflected by the fact that the top three rated players – Frederic Guilbert, Lukasz Fabianski and Declan Rice – are all defensively minded.
A selection of Twitter reaction to the post can be seen below:

They didn’t show all our attempts on goal!!!…..oh, that’s right we didn’t create any. We have so much midfield talent and a fantastic striker yet their keeper didn’t even get his gloves dirty. Something needs addressing.
