West Ham are preparing for a number of departures in the coming weeks, as Manuel Pellegrini looks to balance the finances.
The Hammers have drafted in seven new players so far this summer but the new manager is seeking further additions – but funds may need to be raised.
Pellegrini has decided on some names that a surplus to requirements and Pedro Obiang could be the first of many out the door.
While Sampdoria are ranked as the favourites to land the 26-year-old, Gianluca Di Marzio names newly-promoted Fulham amongst the wealth of clubs interested in his services.
Fiorentina, Atalanta, Villarreal, Lille and Sevilla are also vying for the signature of the former Spain U21 international but an £8.9m move taking Obiang to Sampdoria is in the advanced stages of negotiations, Sky Sports reports.
Obiang spent five years with Sampdoria before joining West Ham in 2015, where he has since scored three Premier League goals in 67 appearances.
