West Ham a ready to hold talks with former Chelsea midfielder Raul Meireles, according to MailOnline.

The 30-year-old is currently plying his trade with Turkish side Fenerbahce but is open to a return to the Premier League having only made nine appearances this season.

And Sam Allardyce is thought to be in the market for an experienced midfielder to help cover for the injured Mohamed Diame, who was stretchered of in their 3-0 Capital One Cup semi-final second leg defeat on Tuesday night.
