We’ve defied all expectations so far this season.
Having rallied so heavily for Sam Allardyce to be sacked for the best part of last season, a lot of fans are undoubtedly still sitting stunned at how well the manager has turned things around this year.
Fourteen games played, 24 points in the bag and fifth in the Premier League. Happy days.
This time last season we were well and truly geared up for another season of battling to the death in order to remain in the top-flight.
But twelve months on and we’re all happy Hammers. What does the future hold? Whatever we want it to hold, would be my answer. We’re slowly laying the foundations for what could be an exciting new era at the club.
But, before we get carried away with dreams of Europe, multi-billionaire investment and silverware, let’s just enjoy being the most improved club in the Premier League so far this campaign.
On first glance, you’d think Southampton are the most improved. Wrong. It is, in fact, Big Sam’s Claret and Blue army.
Bwin Betting have created an infographic showing the points total of each club both this season and last season compared to identical fixtures, with the Hammers a whole 14 points better off.
