With Chicharito and Andy Carroll both unavailable for the FA Cup replay game against Shrewsbury Town, David Moyes is set to start Toni Martinez to make his competitive starting debut for West Ham United in front of a near full capacity London Stadium on Tuesday evening.

Moyes is going to give Martinez his chance after impressing for the Developmental Squad in recent weeks and most notably his U23 performances against Manchester United and Leicester City.

The Scot is reluctant to play Diafra Sakho as playing the Senegalese forward will lower his valuation by being cup tied. Moyes is also keeping back Andy Carroll and Chicharito so they are available for the Bournemouth game at home this weekend.

West Ham captain Mark Noble, Declan Rice, Joe Hart, Andre Ayew and Pedro Obiang all look set to start with Angelo Ogbonna, Marko Arnautovic and Manuel Lanzini expected to drop to the bench.

Sam Byram could also return to the starting line up, which means Reece Burke will not feature in the tie. Burke is likely to re-join Bolton Wanderers for a second loan spell with a potential view to a permanent deal in the coming days.

David Moyes feels that the home advantage will spur on a second string line-up to progress to the 4th round of the competition with a potential “winnable” away trip to either Bournemouth or Wigan Athletic.
