West Ham’s summer is set to be a busy one as Manuel Pellegrini looks to rejuvenate the side he inherited at the London Stadium but it’s not going to be an easy task.

The Hammers are seeking defensive reinforcements after a shaky campaign last term, especially following the news that James Collins will leave when his contract expires at the end of the month.

There has also been speculation surrounding the future’s of Winston Reid, Reece Oxford and Reece Burke, so it’s unsurprising to see many names linked in the market.

However, West Ham may have to reevaluate their plans to push for the signature of Newcastle United captain Jamaal Lascelles as The Sun states Everton are preparing a bid.

Said to be worth £30m, new Toffees boss Marco Silva is targeting the 24-year-old as a major addition to his side – although Newcastle have made it clear they have no intention to sell.

Lascelles, who is believed to have been on the fringes of the England squad, has also been linked with moves to Liverpool and Chelsea.
