Eight transfer targets for West Ham this summer?

It seems as if silly season is well underway.

As per usual, we’re being linked with almost every single player across the world right now.

But this summer it’s a little different, because for once we’ve got a manager with ambition and owners who are happy to spend money.

We’ve been linked with some class players over the past few weeks, but today appeared to be the busiest for a while.

Headlines on at least eight different potential new arrivals. Some would be decent, others not so much.

So here’s our little transfer update for you to keep you in the loop…

Alassane Plea

Our striker search continues in Ligue 1, as French news outlet Le10 Sport claim we’re keeping an eye on young OGC Nice forward Alassane Plea.

Vincent Janssen

The Express claim we’ve joined Man United, Arsenal and Spurs in the hunt for AZ striker Vincent Janssen.

The 21-year-old scored 27 goals in 34 Eredivisie games last season and is valued at £4.5m by Transfermarkt.com.

Carlos Bacca

So we all know about Carlos Bacca, right?

Well, CalcioMercato reckon the Colombian’s representatives are flying in to London this week to finalise a move to the Hammers.

Watch. This. Space.

Samuel Umtiti

Surprisingly enough, we appear to have entered the race for Lyon hotshot Samuel Umtiti.

Transfermarkt.com value him at £9m but you’d expect us to have to pay considerably more for the wonderkid.

You can read that report here.

Volkan Babacan

Do we need a keeper? Probably not. But that hasn’t stopped the Turks claim we’re keeping a close eye on Istanbul Basaksehir goalkeeper Volkan Babacan this summer.

The 27-year-old is valued at around £5.6m by Transfermarkt.com

Zlatko Junuzovic

Now a new midfielder being linked with the club, and this time it’s Werder Bremen’s Zlatko Junuzovic.

The London Evening Standard reckon his performances in the Bundesliga last season have caught Bilic’s eye, as well as the four goals he notched throughout the campaign too.

Transfermarkt.com value the Austrian at £5.25m.

Atiba Hutchinson

No idea why this is actually a thing, but Besiktas’ Atiba Hutchison is in talks over a move to the club this summer.

He’s 33-years-old!

You can read Hutchinson’s agent’s comments here.
