West Ham’s transfer activity shows no signs of coming to a close as we rumble towards the transfer deadline and there could be departures on the cards.

The Evening Standard states Switzerland midfielder Edimilson Fernandes is hoping to seal an exit from the Hammers, amidst interest from Fiorentina.

Italian outfit Fiorentina are seeking a loan deal for the 22-year-old in return for Carlos Sanchez, who is edging towards becoming Manuel Pellegrini’s second Deadline Day signing.

It is reported that Fiorentina will pay a fee of £900k to capture the midfielder on loan, who has started just 23 competitive matches during his time in east London, with a deal including a permanent option of around £7.2m at the end of the season.

With the transfer window in Europe not closing for a number of weeks, Fiorentina have until the end of the month to negotiate a deal – whereas West Ham have to conclude their swoop for Sanchez by this afternoon’s 5pm deadline.
