West Ham United have confirmed on the official website that young duo Reece Burke and Josh Cullen have joined Bolton Wanderers on loan for the first half of the season.
Reece Burke and Josh Cullen teamed up with the West Ham senior side in pre-season but have been loaned out until January in the 2017/18 season.
Bolton Wanderers, who won promotion back to the Championship last season, have snapped the pair up in a very shrewd double swoop.
The pair head out on loan together just as they did in the 2015/16 season when they were both at promotion chasing Bradford City.
Josh Cullen spent last season at Bradford again while Reece Burke joined Wigan Athletic in the Championship last term.
Burke’s season was hampered by injury but the tall and composed centre half will be hoping to make strides next year and push for a place in the West Ham first team.
With James Collins and Jose Fonte coming towards the end of their careers, there will soon be vacancies at the back which Burke will look to fill.
Cullen, however, felt that he may have been in with a chance of first team action this season.
However, Slaven Bilic has sanctioned a loan move and the Republic of Ireland under-21 international will need to show him what he is capable of in the Championship next term.
