West Ham had a busy Deadline Day, signing Lucas Perez and Carlos Sanchez, while also seeing a midfielder leave to join another Premier League side.

The Hammers confirmed last night that highly-rated Portugal U20 star Domingos Quina left the club to join Watford, after making just six appearances for the east London side.

Quina caught the eye on international duty this summer, attracting interest from the likes of Barcelona, but remains in the Premier League after penning a four-year deal with the Hornets.

The 18-year-old was seeking first-team assurances ahead of entering the final 12 months of his contract at the London Stadium, which Manuel Pellegrini’s side could not offer this season.

It remains to be seen whether the switch to Watford leads to an increase in opportunities for Quina, who becomes Javi Gracia’s seventh summer signing at Vicarage Road – following the likes of Gerard Deulofeu and Ben Foster to the club.
