West Ham bounced back from their Europa League exit in emphatic fashion on Sunday with a 4-0 thrashing of relegated Norwich City.

Thursday night’s defeat in Frankfurt threatened to damage the team’s morale ahead of the final three games of the season. David Moyes’ side desperately needed all three points in order to all but secure a top-seven finish and European football of some form next term.

And they did just that with a Said Benrahma brace, Michail Antonio striker and Manuel Lanzini penalty, putting the Hammers five points clear of 8th-placed Wolves with two games of the campaign remaining.

And captain Declan Rice, who was very vocal with his emotions after Thursday night’s Europa League exit, kept his post-match comments to a minimum this time around.

The England international posted a photo of himself and Manuel Lanzini celebrating on Twitter with the caption: “The reaction we wanted.”

You can see that post below…

Rice has played 48 games in all competitions this season, scoring five goals and providing a further four assists.

He now has 10 goals and nine assists in 193 first-team appearances since his debut for the club in May 2017.
