Crystal Palace’s move for West Ham United striker Diafra Sakho has fallen through, according to a reliable journalist.

Pete O’Rourke is reporting on Twitter that the proposed move taking Sakho to Selhurst Park has fallen through.

Sky Sports News had reported that West Ham had accepted a bid in the region of £10m to £12m for Diafra Sakho but this move now appears to be off.

The 28-year-old has tried to leave West Ham on multiple occasions, including last summer when he tried to push through a move to Rennes at the last minute.

He has previously failed a medical at West Brom too.

Sakho is down the pecking order at West Ham and he seems intent on a move away from East London.

A number of Premier League clubs including Crystal Palace, Everton and Newcastle United seem willing to take a punt on him.

The Senegal international has been brilliant on occasions for West Ham but his time has been hampered by injury concerns, attitude problems and off the field behavioural issues.

Sakho, who was due to have a medical at Crystal Palace, is now likely to stay at West Ham for now – according to the latest reports – where he is behind the likes of Marko Arnautovic, Andy Carroll and Javier Hernandez in David Moyes’ eyes.
