West Ham United picked up a crucial point over the weekend after battling to a draw with Manchester City, a result that could prove vital in their fight for Premier League survival.
A goal from Konstantinos Mavropanos ensured the Hammers came away with something from the match, keeping them level on points with Nottingham Forest as the relegation battle intensifies.
While the result provided a boost for the club, it has been followed by fresh uncertainty surrounding one of West Ham’s most influential players this season, after he hinted his long-term future at the London Stadium may not be guaranteed.
Summerville Hints at West Ham Exit

Crysencio Summerville has delivered a somewhat cryptic response when asked about his future at West Ham amid growing transfer speculation.
The Dutch winger has recently been linked with several clubs, including AS Roma, Napoli and even fellow relegation battlers Tottenham Hotspur. With interest building ahead of the summer transfer window, Summerville was asked about what lies ahead for him.
Speaking to Algemeen Dagblad, the winger stopped short of committing his long-term future to the Hammers.
“Things happen the way they happen,” Summerville said while reflecting on his earlier decision to leave Feyenoord for Leeds United five years ago. “I have taken a different path.
“Where will that take me? First, staying in the league with West Ham. Then, we’ll see.”
His response has inevitably raised eyebrows among supporters, particularly given the increasing attention he has received following an impressive run of form.
Star Performer in West Ham’s Survival Fight
Summerville has been one of the standout players in what has otherwise been a difficult season for West Ham. The 24-year-old has delivered consistent attacking output, contributing 11 goals and assists across all competitions.
Much of that impact has come in recent months, with five Premier League goals since the turn of the year helping drive the club’s late push to climb out of the relegation zone.
If West Ham do manage to secure survival, Summerville will almost certainly have played a major role in making it happen. Ironically, that same form could make it even harder for the Hammers to keep hold of him.
With clubs across Europe monitoring his performances, the winger’s future may become one of the biggest talking points at the London Stadium this summer — regardless of where West Ham finish in the table.
