James Collins has his sights on a first West Ham win at Anfield for 50 years and the side’s first back-to-back wins of the season.

The defender put in another solid display as he helped the Hammers comfortably beat West Brom at Upton Park on Saturday, providing the ball that allowed Andy Carroll to volley in his fifth goal for the club.

And now the 29-year-old Welshman wants the players’ improved confidence to shine through when they attempt to record a historic win at Liverpool on Sunday afternoon.

He told whufc.com: We’re full of confidence again. Obviously we weren’t too happy with the result at Chelsea, but we’ve put things right and got the win against West Brom.

“We’ll have a good week’s training and head to Anfield looking to get our first back-to-back wins of the season.”

Collins also praised the Hammers’ home form and insists no team will be given an easy ride at Upton Park between now and the end of the season.

“We’ve been great at home all season,” he said.

“The fans have been right behind us every game and we’ve come out of the blocks and always performed well in the first half.

“No matter who comes here, we know we’re going to give them a game. Obviously we beat Chelsea here last year and though West Brom have had a great season, we’ve turned them over as well. It’s a massive win.”
