West Ham went big in the transfer market last summer, committing around £125 million to reshape the squad.
New arrivals included El Hadji Malick Diouf, Mateus Fernandes, goalkeeper Mads Hermansen and veteran striker Callum Wilson, who arrived on a free after leaving Newcastle United.
So far, however, the rebuild has failed to deliver.
West Ham are already on their second manager of the campaign, stuck in 18th place and without a win in nine matches.
Now, just months after arriving, one of those summer recruits could already be heading for the exit.
Callum Wilson In Talks to Leave West Ham

According to The Athletic, Callum Wilson is currently discussing a possible January departure from the London Stadium.
The 33-year-old joined West Ham on a short-term, incentive-heavy contract after his Newcastle deal expired. While he has featured regularly, making 18 appearances and scoring four goals, his role has diminished rapidly in recent weeks.
Nuno Espírito Santo has since pushed through deals for two new strikers — Pablo Felipe and Taty Castellanos — fundamentally changing the attacking hierarchy.
With Niclas Füllkrug and Luis Guilherme already moving on, Wilson — who Nuno described as “important” not long ago — could become the third forward to leave during the window.
Although he has played eight league games this season, Wilson is keen to continue getting regular minutes at this stage of his career. With competition intensifying and his contract running for just one year, an early exit may suit all parties if terms can be agreed.
Wilson’s potential departure underlines how quickly West Ham’s plans have shifted.
What looked like a sensible short-term signing in the summer now appears expendable amid a wider reset. With survival the overriding priority, sentiment is likely to take a back seat as the club reshapes its squad — even if that means admitting another recruitment gamble hasn’t paid off.
