West Ham’s spending spree is set to continue and Manuel Pellegrini remains in the market for defensive additions.

The Hammers have already bolstered their options at centre-back with the captures of Issa Diop and Fabian Balbuena but want one more recruit in this area following Winston Reid’s latest injury set back.

According to The Daily MailWest Ham are eyeing a move for Le Harve’s highly-rated France U19 international Harold Moukoudi but face Premier League competition for his services from Burnley.

Rated at around £9m, Moukoudi is an affordable option for West Ham and the 20-year-old would provide competition for a first-team spot at the London Stadium – as well as potentially becoming a long-term partner for Declan Rice.

Currently playing in the second-tier of French football, Moukoudi would need to step-up if he was to seal a move to the Premier League but the fact that Arsenal have previously been linked to his services suggests he could be a star in the future.
