Brace yourselves… West Ham set for a very hectic few days

After a relatively quiet week at the club, it seems it’s all about to start getting busy again as we edge closer to our first game of the season.

Our first Europa League game is on July 2 and we’ve still only made two signings this summer. Slaven Bilic will of course be working hard behind the scenes to identify transfer targets so it was always going to be a matter of time before something happens on that front.

And it appears it is, with several reports claiming we’re closer to making signings this week.

And of course there’s so much more going on at the club that it’s hard to keep up.

So here’s what you need to know, incase you’ve missed anything…

NEW UMBRO KIT!

The wait is almost over and tomorrow we find out what our final home at kit at the Boleyn Ground will be.

The club and Umbro claim it’s a throw back to our first ever home shirt worn in the Boleyn Ground back in 1904, in which case it would be a pretty nifty little number.

We think it might look a little something like this…

DeAndre Yedlin?

This is more than likely a non-story, but the Daily Mail reckon we could be in for USA international DeAndre Yedlin.

He’s allegedly surplus to requirements at Spurs already, with them set to sign Burnley’s Kieron Trippier.

And the Mail claim we’ll be going for Yedlin if we fail in our attempts to bring Carl Jenkinson back to the club.

Diego Perotti

MailOnline also claim we’ve joined the race for Genoa striker Diego Perotti, but we’re currently baulking at the £9million asking price.

Inter Milan, Valencia and Watford are also interested so it’ll be a pretty decent coup if we can bring him to the Boleyn Ground.

He appears to be hot property in Europe at the moment.

Boost in the race for Austin

If we’re going to buy a striker this summer then I’d say it’s better to bring in someone who knows how to score in the Premier League.

Charlie Austin appears to be that guy, and we’ve been handed a boost in the race for his signature as Newcastle reportedly look elsewhere for a forward – because he’d rather stay in London.

That leaves us and Chelsea left and, unless he’s more interested in the money than regular game time, then we’ll probably miss out on him.

Demba Ba wants return?

The Mirror reckon Demba Ba does want a return to the Premier League, and it’s between us and West Brom who are interested.

You’d think there’s no contest, but you just never know with West Ham these days.

However, Ba may be swayed by having the chance to work with Slaven Bilic again.

Double swoop on the cards?

The Telegraph claim we’re on the verge of a double swoop for Alex Song and Dmitri Payet.

Some fans were a little put off by Song’s form during the second half of next season, but if we can manage to sign him for as little as £5million then it’s difficult to find an negatives around the deal.

And Payet? Well, we all know what he’s capable of and we all know how much we’ve been linked with so far. He’s the one everyone wants at the moment, so let’s hope we can get it over the line.

And finally…

Sunny days training at Chadwell Heath!!

The big man is getting almost back!

He may be linked with a move away from the club, but that hasn’t stopped him from working as hard as he can to ensure he’s ready for the start of the season.

Fair play to him, he’s certainly committed to the cause.
