Graham Potter has a great chance to continue his impressive start as West Ham boss this weekend.

After being unlucky to lose against Aston Villa in his first game, the Hammers beat Fulham 3-2 on Tuesday night in a much more convincing performance than we were used to seeing under Julen Lopetegui.

Despite injuries to key players, Potter already appears to have got the players on board with his ideas. It might be early in his reign, but it has been so strikingly clear that the squad looks far more comfortable playing under him than they did Lopetegui.

Beating Fulham, the first to defeat Marco Silva’s side in nine games, has given fans some early hope that the former Brighton boss can be a success in east London, especially once he has a full squad to choose from, his own players bought in the transfer window and more time to implement his style.

Before then, Potter has another home London derby to navigate.

While the performance against Fulham wasn’t perfect, it eventually came good against a far better team than Crystal Palace. That gives Potter a bit of a dilemma heading into Saturday afternoon’s clash.

Does he stick with a winning XI, or does he make a couple of changes to fix one or two things he may not have been happy with on Tuesday night? Big decisions are required.

We should expect to see Lucas Paqueta play up front again after his work rate and second goal in two games impressed earlier in the week, while Carlos Soler and Guido Rodriguez also impressed.

Beyond that, knowing what Potter will do is still very difficult. But here’s how I think he will line up against Palace on Saturday…

Unchanged. Soler might take up a more central position out of possession but overall it’ll be a very similar tactical approach to the one that beat Fulham.

At least that’s what I’m predicting…
