West Ham United have revealed the squad numbers for the club’s two deadline day signings, Nikola Vlasic and Alex Kral.

After both arrived on the final day of the summer transfer window, fans have eagerly awaited for the confirmation of the two player’s squad numbers.

Vlasic, who arrived for £27million from CSKA Moscow, plays in the attacking midfield position.

Whereas Alex Kral, who signed on a season-long loan deal from Spartak Moscow, is a more defensive midfielder.

David Moyes and West Ham left it to the last minute to secure new signings and strengthen the current squad, but eventually got the deals over the line before the window slammed shut.

On Monday afternoon, the club’s official website and Twitter page announced their squad numbers for the 2021/22 season.

Croatian international Vlasic will wear the number 11 for West Ham, whereas 23-year-old Alex Kral will don number 33 on the back of his shirt.

Vlasic follows in the footsteps of previous West Ham players like Steve Lomas, Mathew Etherington, Thomas Hitzlsperger, Stewart Downing, Enner Valencia, Robert Snodgrass and most recently Jesse Lingard in wearing the number 11.

This will be a very exciting opportunity for Vlasic and Hammers fans alike, as the 23-year-old takes on a tough challenge to fill some big boots.

Alex Kral on the hand, can make the number 33 his own. Players like Freddie Sears, Dan Potts and Republic of Ireland international Josh Cullen had worn the same number in claret and blue previously.
