West Ham United remain firmly locked in a relegation battle as the season enters its final stretch.
Despite a significant improvement in form over recent weeks, the Hammers still sit 18th in the Premier League table.
However, they are now level on points with Nottingham Forest, and with Tottenham Hotspur also struggling for consistency, there is growing belief that survival is achievable.
A major factor behind West Ham’s recent turnaround has been the arrival of Axel Disasi on loan from Chelsea, and the defender has now explained why he is confident the club can avoid the drop.
Disasi “Confident” West Ham Will Stay Up

The French centre-back joined West Ham after a difficult period at Chelsea where opportunities had been limited.
Since arriving in east London, however, Disasi has quickly re-established himself, slotting straight into the heart of Nuno Espírito Santo’s defence and delivering a series of commanding performances.
His impact has been immediate. Since making his debut in February, West Ham have kept four clean sheets in seven matches, winning four of those games and suffering just one defeat.
Speaking ahead of the upcoming clash with Manchester City, Nuno Espírito Santo praised how quickly the defender adapted to life at the London Stadium. Disasi echoed that sentiment and highlighted the unity within the squad as a key reason for his belief that West Ham will stay up.
“I think there’s real togetherness within the squad, and everyone has the same goal to make sure we achieve our objective of staying in the Premier League.
“When I arrived here, I realised that everyone is fighting together. Everyone knows we’re in a situation that none of us want to be in, and you can see that we have the quality to do much better.
“We just have to keep sticking together and build on what we’ve been doing over the last few weeks, and I’m confident we’ll be okay.”
Disasi Enjoying Life at the London Stadium
Disasi also spoke openly about how much he has enjoyed settling into his new surroundings since making the move to West Ham.
“So far, my time at West Ham has been really nice, and everything has been only positive,” he confirmed. “My situation at Chelsea before was a little bit crazy, so it’s been great to come straight in and be part of the group, and everyone has been brilliant to me.”
The defender added that familiar faces within the squad have helped him adjust quickly, particularly players he already knew from his time in France.
“With Soungoutou, I saw him come through and make the transition from Academy to professional at Monaco, so it’s been nice to link up with him again and to see him doing well.
“It’s nice to have faces around that you know.”
With West Ham fighting for survival and momentum finally building, Disasi’s presence at the back could prove crucial in the final weeks of the campaign.
