There’s likely to be plenty of ins and outs from the London Stadium this summer and the latest rumour will certainly raise some eyebrows.

Sport Witness cites reports from Spanish outlet AS that state Europa League winners Atletico Madrid are eyeing a shock swoop for West Ham’s Adrian this summer.

The Spain stopper has been in-and-out of the Hammers side this season, battling on-loan Manchester City keeper Joe Hart for a spot between the sticks, but failed to truly do enough to warrant making the first-team spot his own.

Adrian has spoken out previously about his desire to earn more regular opportunities, which is why the Atletico links are intriguing – as he’d certainly not be able to dethrone Jan Oblak from his spot.

Instead, it’s stated Atletico see Adrian as the ideal replacement for young Axel Werner, who they’re keen to send on-loan next season to earn more regular opportunities.

The 22-year-old Argentina ace has seen his chances limited in the Spanish capital and a loan stint next season will give him a chance to earn his stripes.
