West Ham will be concerned that they may be set for a major fight in the coming months, as interest in star man Marko Arnautovic has arisen.

The Austria international excelled in his debut campaign at the London Stadium, scoring 11 Premier League goals to fire the Hammers to safety after a club-record move from Stoke City.

That form has not gone unnoticed, with Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho reported to be keen on reuniting with the 29-year-old he briefly worked at with Inter Milan.

West Ham are determined to retain the services of their Player of the Year, commanding at least £60m for his signature, but may face trouble if he decides he wants to move for Champions League football.

However, the Hammers have received a boost as Arnautovic is cited by Sky Sports as making it clear he’s happy in his current surroundings.

“I am happy with my job.”

“Whatever happens will happen. I’ve never heard anything.”

“Even three weeks ago I haven’t heard anything. That’s why I cannot say anything about it.The only thing that bothers me is that I am in good health and that I am able to play football.”

“I have a contract at West Ham – that’s all we have to talk about.”
