It appears the club are willing to let another expensive flop leave for peanuts this summer.
After selling Felipe Anderson back to Lazio earlier this week for an approximate £30m loss, a report from Football Insider now claims Andriy Yarmolenko might be allowed to leave for as little as £2m.
It’s no surprise the club are entertaining interest and offers for the Ukraine international, with David Moyes clearly seeing him as a fringe player at best last term. The winger has struggled with injuries since joining the club three years ago and, despite enjoying an impressive Euro 2020 with his country, it was always unlikely he would be given another chance in east London.
However, his form for Ukraine this summer – two goals, two assists – had given fans hope that the club might be able to demand a much higher fee than just £2m for his services. If that fee is correct, then it will be another huge expensive transfer mistake for West Ham after he was signed for £17.5m from Borussia Dortmund in 2018.
And while fans are resigned to the fact Yarmolenko will be leaving the club this summer, they’ve been laughing off the reported £2m exit fee that Football Insider claims Fenerbahce are prepared to pay for his services.
Here’s what fans have been saying about the report on Twitter…
we’re genuinely going to have no players left and with 3M for Anderson and 2M for Yarmolenko i fear we will have no money to replace. we know what GSB are like.

Moyes is getting rid of all the Pellegrini purchases, which on reflection, can not be described as successful.
In Moyes we trust ⚒⚒⚒

Based on Anderson’s price I’m surprised we aren’t giving them £2 million and the player!!
