Are West Ham fans finally about to see some transfer action?

“It’s all gone quiet over there!”

Yep, West Ham’s transfer activity has gone quiet and no one really knows what’s going on, including the club it seems.

But while there doesn’t seem to be any action on the surface there’s no doubt loads going on behind the scenes. And of course in the media.

There’s still no shortage of transfer rumours. So here’s a cheeky little update for you to ponder this evening.

Mattia Destro? Surely not…

According to Gazzetta, West Ham are pondering a £15million swoop for Roma striker Mattia Destro.

Whether there’s any solid truth in this interest remains to be seen and the chances of us signing him anyway would be pretty slim – Monaco, Arsenal and Inter Milan are also thought to be keeping an eye on him.

He’d certainly be that ‘big name’ signing the club keep banging on about though…

Who?

We’re amongst a host of Premier League clubs, including Aston Villa, Newcastle and Everton, for Villarreal youngster Alfonso Pedraza.

He broke in to the club’s first team and the end of last season and impressed.

And his agent has admitted he’ll most likely be playing in the Premier League next season. Watch this space…

No more interest Van Dijk

London 24 are today reporting that we’ve ended our interest in Celtic defender Virgil Van Dijk.

The Dutch international would’ve certainly represented a good signing for us given his international experience, as well as his experience playing in Europe with the Scottish champions.

But we’re no longer interested and he’ll probably end up signing for Sunderland instead. Shame, really.

Payet close?

This is fast becoming one of the transfer sagas of the summer, but hopefully we’re close to completing this deal.

Jack Sullivan tweeted earlier that the club hope to announce an “eight figure” deal within the next five days, which is most probably in reference to the France international.

MailOnline reckon we’re just waiting for a decision from Marseille on our recent £12million offer and the player is ready to sign for us if it’s accepted.

Fingers crossed!

No one’s leaving!

There have been several reports over the last few days claiming Stewart Downing could be on his way out of the club, with Middlesbrough reportedly interested in bringing him back ‘home.’

But the club’s official site today confirmed no player is up for sale this summer and Slaven Bilic is only interested in signing players and building a big squad, which is good news I suppose.

I’m no fan of that ‘Boleyn Insider’ feature on the official site, I think it’s quite unprofessional and can have quite a detrimental effect to the business we’re trying to do, but it’s all going to be accurate information all the same.

Finally… fixture change!

As expected, our fixtures against FC Lusitans have been reversed. That means our home leg will be on July 2 instead of July 9.

It shouldn’t make a huge difference either way, as we should win the tie comfortably.

And the club have also announced pre-ordered tickets to the home leg will only be £10 for adults and a fiver for kids. Affordable football for everyone!
