West Ham United have been linked with a move for Besiktas midfielder Oguzhan Ozyakup, according to recent reports coming from the Turkish media.

Ozyakup – who is also a target for Premier League duo Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur – has emerged as a top target for the Hammers, according to what sources close to Besiktas have told Turkish-Football.

The Turkey international is one of the undoubted stars in the national side and his performances from central midfield have caught the eye of plenty of admirers.

With a number of clubs interested in the 24-year-old, West Ham are hoping to gain an advantage by offering him the chance to team up with Slaven Bilic again.

Bilic was the manager of Oguzhan Ozyakup during his two years at Besiktas and could look to reunite with his former star man.

Oguzhan Ozyakup would cost West Ham, Arsenal or Tottenham about £13m to land.

West Ham fans were split on this piece of transfer news when sharing their opinions on social media.

Quite a few were anxious following the disappointing signing of Gokhan Tore, who was advertised as a top Besiktas player, last summer.
