Said Benrahma hails the “good effort” from his teammates after West Ham’s 2-2 draw with Leicester City.

The Hammers had to rely on 91st-minute Craig Dawson header to snatch a point from the King Power Stadium, despite taking the lead via Jarrod Bowen in the 10th-minute.

The Algeria international came off the bench in the second half tasked with sparking a late surge for a result and while he wasn’t directly involved in the equaliser, Benrahma added directness, pace and a bit more quality in the final third that had been lacking from the Hammers’ performance before his introduction.

And the midfielder took to Instagram after the game to reveal his disappointment with not winning the game but hailed the overall performance from the team.

He posted: “Not the result we wanted, but a good effort from everyone! We will come back stronger.”
