The 2-2 draw with Norwich yesterday summed us up nicely.

Having been so immense in the wins away to Arsenal, Liverpool and Man City, we’ve still struggled at home to Leicester, Bournemouth and now the Canaries.

It wasn’t the best of performances, but there were moments in the game that could’ve and should’ve see us secure all three points, particularly in the second half.

It was Mark Noble’s cross-field hospital pass that cost us in the first-half, with Robbie Brady latching on to the loose ball and then comforably slotting past Adrian to give the visitors a surprise lead early on.

Diafra Sakho equalised shortly after, though, when he latched on to a perfect Dimitri Payet cross (his fourth assist in all competitions already this season) from six yards, but Norwich’s Nathan Redmond looked to have won it for them with just a few minutes to go.

But Cheikhou Kouyate popped up in the 92nd minute to secure a point with his third goal of the season.

It was a frustrating result given our recent form, but it was perhaps a deserved point for both sides and it still sees us occupy third spot in the Premier League.

And as per usual, some of the players took to Twitter after the game to address the fans.

Goalkeeper Adrian, who pulled off a couple of world class saves during the game again, highlighted the willingness to keep going after we went behind so late and the fight the players had inside them to then end…

Skipper Mark Noble took full responsibility for his mistake in the first half, but praised the players for managing to grab a point so late in the game…

While Andy Carroll, who went down in pain just moments after coming off the bench, confirmed that he’s fine and no serious damage was done, despite him looking in a lot of pain at the time. Phew.

Oh and he also had this quality come back to a Leeds fan who thought he was being funny…

And finally, co-chairman David Gold reminded us of how well we’ve done in the Premier League so far this season. We’re third. Great work…
