Mark Noble’s testimonial is going to some occasion.

The final testimonial at the Boleyn Ground for a player who has given their blood, sweat and tears to the club for his entire career – and several of the club’s biggest heroes all coming together one final time on the hallowed turf before we move to the Olympic Stadium.

The list of players already confirmed to be playing are Rio Ferdinand, Anton Ferdinand, Matty Etherington, Carlton Cole, Craig Bellamy, Scott Parker, Stewart Downing, Danny Gabbidon, Bobby Zamora, Dean Ashton, Yossi Benayoun, Trevor Sinclair, Ian Bishop, Julian Dicks and Ludek Miklosko.

All players who have helped shape the club we all live and breathe each day. Players from a number of different eras with varying success stories, but all heroes (or cult heroes) in their own right.

But the latest one to be confirmed should ensure a huge scramble for tickets when they go on general sale on the February 8.

Paolo Di Canio is coming home to play one final time at the Boleyn Ground. The man. The legend. Everyone’s favourite Italian.
