West Ham have had a £7million bid rejected by Leeds United for left-back Charlie Taylor, according to HITC Sport.

The club have already brought in Arthur Masuaku to act as a short-term replacement for the injured Aaron Cresswell, who is expected to be sidelined for up to four months.

But it seems Slaven Bilic is eager to bring in another left-back to solidify that area of his squad.

Taylor has been the subject of increased transfer speculation this summer, especially as he is now entering the final year of his Elland Road contract.

It is reported that the 22-year-old handed in a transfer request last week, which Leeds immediately rejected, but his eagerness to leave the club appears to have alerted West Ham.

Taylor did start Leeds’ Championship season opener against Queens Park Rangers last Sunday, and Leeds face the real threat of losing him on a free next summer if they refuse to cash in on him now.

Transfermarkt.com value Taylor at just £638k.
