The January transfer window always whips up a few ridiculous stories – that’s why it’s called Silly Season.
We know we’re in the market for a couple of players this month – although it’s still unclear how much money we’ve got to spend, if any.
The latest rumour is that Swansea midfielder Jonjo Shelvey is having talks with the club – although that rumour stems from a mystery super car spotted in the Boleyn Ground car park the other night with a number plate that ‘could’ be Shelvey’s.
The Romford-born Hammers fan has been linked with a move away from the Swans this January, which doesn’t make a deal for him all that ridiculous.
Jack Sullivan has revealed on Twitter than the club are NOT signing Shelvey, although you’d half expect his old man to get him to Tweet that if the club wants to keep the deal quiet from other interested parties.
