West Ham are interested in Nice striker Alassane Plea, according to French news outlet Le10 Sport.

West Ham have made it no secret that they intend to spend big on a striker this summer, with reports already linking them with a host of top strikers across Europe.

But the latest reports in France claim Slaven Bilic also has one eye on 23-year-old starlet Plea, who contributed six goals and four assists in 19 appearances for Nice last term.

The report claims Plea’s potential has ‘seduced’ West Ham and the Hammers could make a move for him during the summer months.

The forward is a product of Lyon’s youth academy and scored two goals in 31 Ligue 1 appearances before joining Auxerre on loan, where he netted three in 15 league outings.

Since signing for Nice in August 2014, Plea has netted nine league goals in 52 appearances.

It is not yet known whether Nice are willing to listen to offers for their young star.

Tranfermarkt.com value him at just £3m.
