With Sam Allardyce’s contract expiring at the end of the season, it’s difficult to find a logical reason why the club would get rid of him now.

And despite all the talk that the club won’t be renewing his contract at the end of the season, there’s no reason to believe we’ll be manager-less between now and May.

In fact, it’s quite absurd that some fans are even talking about Allardyce’s immediate departure given the season we’re having up to now. Yes – we’ve stuttered recently and were humiliated in the FA Cup by relegation threatened West Brom side – but Allardyce’s job this season has been impressive, as his the job he’s done for us since taking over a few years ago.

But it appears the club have made up their mind and will be replacing Allardyce at the end of the season. Well connected @ExWHUemployee tweeted earlier that the club are already lining up new managers ahead of next season…

Not long after that, Twitter went in to melt down as rumours of Allardyce’s imminent departure went viral, which was then followed by Odds Changer tweeting that Allardyce had plummeted to 4/1 from 25/1 to be the next Premier League manager to leave…

This is undoubtedly because people were lumping on during the rumours of Allardyce’s sacking, but it’s interesting to hear that the club are already in the market for a new boss.
