Back-to-back wins. Clean sheets galore. Kevin Nolan on form. Out of the bottom three. Pretty much everything that could be going right for us at the moment going right.

And it’s refreshing to know that we may have just turned a corner this season, with or without Andy Carroll, and are finally showing the potential we’ve had from the very first game this season.

We’re not only playing well, but actually getting results in the process as well. And it’s about time, too.

Yesterday’s 2-0 victory at Villa Park was hugely important to the rest of the season. We’ve got the back-to-back wins monkey off our backs and we’ve proven that Andy Carroll is not our only hope of survival.

Most importantly, though, the fans are happy. Which was evident on Twitter yesterday as Nolan smashed in two and we managed to hold until the end for three precious points…
