Victor Moses’ debut in the win over Newcastle last week was an impressive one.

The Chelsea loanee got off the best possible start in claret and blue by playing an important role in our second goal in the 2-0 victory over the Magpies, and many would see he was desperately unlucky not have capped his debut with a goal.

But he didn’t have to wait too much longer to open his account for the Hammers. The Nigeria international smashed in a sensational sixth minute opener from 25-yards against Manchester City on Saturday.

But it wasn’t just Moses’ goal that caught the attention of everyone watching. His pace and power going forward is arguably something we haven’t be able to boast at West Ham for sometime, and it’s something that has already improved us heavily since his arrival.

And it’s Moses’ speed that has been highlighted by BBC Sport following the weekend’s action. Their Week in Numbers feature claims Moses reached the second highest speed in the Premier League over the weekend, behind only Sunderland’s Billy Jones and a long way ahead of third placed Theo Walcott.

Finally we’ve got that much needed pace going forward…
